My Story: A Passion for Enriching Senior Lives through Music
Growing up in Tokyo, Japan, music was always a significant part of Ricky Naito's life. He pursued his passion by earning a master's degree from California State University, Fullerton, and performing across Japan, Nevada, and California. However, it was a personal experience with his grandmother that truly shaped his life's mission.
During a family gathering, Ricky performed some of his favorite classic pop and jazz tunes. The joy and excitement he saw in his grandmother's eyes as she listened and sang along moved him deeply. Her happiness and the positive impact the music had on her inspired Ricky to bring that same joy to other seniors.
Motivated by this experience, Ricky founded Sunflower Music Entertainment. His goal was clear: to enrich the lives of senior citizens through the power of music. By performing classic tunes from the 40s to the 70s and engaging seniors in interactive musical activities, Ricky and his team aim to create memorable and uplifting experiences for their audiences.
Today, Ricky and his talented ensemble have performed over 150 concerts in senior living facilities across California. Their dedication to providing high-quality musical entertainment has brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of community to countless seniors. For Ricky, seeing the positive impact of his performances continues to be the driving force behind his work, making every concert a meaningful and fulfilling endeavor.
